Enjoy tranquility in Everett, an unincorporated community in Summit County. It is bordered by Akron roughly nine miles to the south and Cuyahoga Falls about six miles to the southeast. The nearest major airport is the Akron Fulton International Airport, which is located approximately 13 miles southeast of the community. With an elevation of 720 feet above sea level, Everett offers suburban living in a scenic environment with woods, shrubbery, flowerbeds, and vegetable gardens. Once a sleepy 1820s hamlet, Everett was a prosperous town during the Canal Era. The opening of the Valley Railway in 1880 made the community more accessible and brought an influx of new residents and visitors. Formerly known as Johnnycake and Unionville, the community gets its present name from a railroad official. A post office for the community was established in 1880. Towards the end of the 1800s, the population grew from less than 10 to more than 200 with residents who relied on farming for sustenance. Today, it is a self-sufficient community offering some of the finest homes for sale in Northeast Ohio.

The Ohio Erie Canal Towpath is dog-friendly with some off-leash areas. It is open year-round. Local landmarks include the Everett Covered Bridge, which stretches across Furnace Run. The bridge has historic significance, having been built in the 1800s.
